Paula Permenter

Welcome to a website dedicated to the career and work of Paula Permenter. Paula Permenter is a registered municipal advisor who utilizes her skillset to assist charter schools across the United States. In her work, Permenter primarily focuses on capital planning and facility financing.

Currently serving as a Partner for Choice Advisors, an organization she co-founded, Paula Permenter has a background that uniquely qualifies her for this role. For 15 years, Permenter worked with Invesco as a member of the high-yield tax-exempt bond team.  In her role as a senior credit analyst, she conducted the analysis of securities in several public finance sectors to include charter schools and made buy and sell recommendations across multiple tax-exempt bond portfolios that were in excess of $20 billion.  In 2011, she joined an investment bank as a senior vice president, that specialized in underwriting charter school bonds to assist in expanding their market reach throughout Texas and the south.  In 2013, she joined a subsequent investment bank as a managing director and was responsible for managing the Houston office. 

Paula Permenter greatly enjoys helping her clients solve facility problems, which led to the desire to become a municipal advisor.  In this role, she can bring the optimal financing solution to her clients because one size does not fit all. 

While working on the buy side, she was a  member of the National Federation of Municipal Analysts as well as a board member of the Southern Municipal Finance Association.  She has also been a board member of a charter school and served on their finance committee.

Paula Permenter is a Series 50 qualified municipal advisor representative.
